Tony Hulen and Greg Frazier have taken it on themselves to pull broken baskets and tee signs and work with the Parks and Recreation Department to get them repaired and repainted.

Be sure to check for your basket when playing the top course – the target you think you’re shooting for may just be “in the shop.”  Thanks to Tony and Greg and all other club members who help keep an eye on our courses and  step up when something needs fixin’.

As part of this effort, Tony H. is working on a proposal to replace tee signs at Oakland. He has priced replacing all the old “small” single-paned tee-signs with new double-paned signs that allow featuring a sponsor. He has some great ideas for using some new technologies for displaying aerial maps of the holes and crafting logos for the sponsor signs. The club’s proposal will be ready for Parks and Rec soon. Please contact Tony H. or one of the club officers know if you know of a local business willing to sponsor a hole for a year.

All of the baskets have been returned and are in place on the top course. We're approaching the point where we will be testing out a few new tee signs - just as soon as the final placements are in place after rearranging the courses.
